Where is Tate?
November 29, 2007Dear friends of Tate and the advent calendars,
I had hoped to do the calendar story again this year, but it’s just not possible for various reasons, including serious computer problems at a critical time. I have sent Tate and Pierre on vacation for some much deserved rest and relaxation - you can see their postcard at catwholaughed.com. I am very sorry to disappoint those who have been counting (so to speak) on the calendar, but I do hope to see you next year! Have a lovely holiday season, and best wishes for 2008.
–Penny

I will miss Tate very much this year.
Have a wonderful holiday season.
I’m so sorry that I won’t be visiting with Tate this year. I’ve been following his adventures for five years. I hope to see his return next holiday.
Cheers for so much enjoyment~
I too will miss Tate a great deal this year! Thankyou for all the hard work on past calendars - hope to see tate next year.
Angie
Dear Penny!
So sorry to hear, but I really hope the (computer) problems will be solved soon!
Your calender is so much appreciated!!!
Best wishes from The Netherlands and a hug for Tate! ;^)
Enjoy the Advent-Time!
Marcel
Oh, I’m so sorry that there’s no Tate and Pierre adventure this year! I’ve been looking forward to it for weeks, now. Good luck with everything and I do hope that you’re all back next year. Blessings of the season.
I will miss Tate very much this year. Have enjoyed him for about 5 years now. I come home from work and
open my computer to see his antics for the day. have a good year and hope the computer is fixed. Looking forward to Tate’s adventures with Pierre next year.
I so looked forward to Tate and Pierre. Happy Vacation. i will wait ’til next year. If i had the funds I’d jet a computer to you straight off as you are so wonderful with your calendars. Peace and prosperity in the new year.
I hope you and Tate enjoy a well-deserved rest. I will dearly miss Tate’s Christmas Season countdown. Thanks for past years.
Our four cats are devastated! We all sat down so I could read them the first two days of the latest, and now they are VERY cross with me. But seriously…I know you’ve had a lot of stuff going on this year, and I think YOU should take a vacation along with Tate and Pierre. Glad you’re feeling better and I hope your computer comes to its senses and starts giving you the support you deserve. Now, if I can just handle four pair of little eyes staring at me for the next year…
Oh, no! I will certainly miss Tate!
Oh boo hoo. My black cat Jasper just turned one year old and he was looking forward to meeting the black cat who inspired me to rescue him and bring him into my little family. See you next year! Take care!
I was so looking forward to Tate and Pierre’s 2007 adventure for advent countdown. Saddened to hear you haven’t been well and the computer meltdown doesn’t help you, either.
I’ll go back a few years and use a former advent calendar to keep with my yearly tradition.
Feel better and enjoy a vacation with Tate and Pierre!
How I miss reading the daily installment! Thanks for all the joy you have brought to us all, and Happy Christmas and a great New Year to you!
i must say that tate & pierre have become a fixture of my christmas season and will be very much missed this year; however, i wish them (and you!) a very happy holiday and i look very much forward to hearing about their holiday adventures. all the best, bk
Bummer, bummer, bummer! Since I found your site three years ago, it’s a been a fun tradition to follow the antics of Tate and Pierre. Ah, well. I guess everyone needs a vacation sometime. Balmy and tropical sounds nice about now. It’s been very cold in New England the last month. As an aside, my mom is still doing well in central Maine. She turned 82 this year. I gave her one of your Fromage bags for Christmas last year (I think) and she was thrilled. We always knew you would do some interesting things in life. Blessings to you and your family, have a wonderful Christmas! Jenn
My cats, Gandalf and Lizzie, and I are missing our December adventures with Pierre and Tate. We’ve enjoyed them so much for several years. However, we understand that things (especially computer problems) happen. Have a wonderful holiday and please, please, please come back next year!
Your calendars have brought magic to our holidays and we are very grateful for your talent! Merry Christmas!
I, too, must add my regrets that Tate and Pierre will be unable to share a new adventure during the 2007 Advent season. I sincerely hope that all will be well next season. I share Tate’s stories every year with my sixth grade students. We can find comfort in the enjoyment of previous years’ Advent stories. They are “new” to my students, and a joy to revisit for me. Your efforts have touched so many, I sincerely hope the fates are with you next year.
I am pouting………
Aww shucks, Penny! Sorry to hear that life has caught up with ya on this one! We sure are going to miss Tate, thankfully we’ve still got our two little black miscreants, Mouse and Missy, and our old, faithful buddy Little Kitty, to keep us company!
Hopefully you get it all taken care of and next year’s calendar is back to normal and better than ever!
Looking forward to helping out next year again!

Well, I enjoyed Tate and Pierre’s postcard this year, but we miss the calendar too! Hope the computer quits giving you trouble and you and yours have a happy holiday season.
